Participation Guidelines and Instructions:
The CGMA LACE Ministry is offering two $250 scholarships for female college students who are active members of a CGMA church.
Participation Guidelines & Instructions:
• Must be an active female member of a CGMA church to participate.
• Can be a student of any age and working toward any level of college degree.
• Complete the online demographics portion of the application by July 1st.
• E-mail the following documents in ONE e-mail to lace.ministries.cgma@gmail.com:
- Acceptance letter and/or college class schedule from the college you are attending for the school year 2025-2026.
- A letter of recommendation from your current Pastor in your local church
- A 250-500-word essay on the importance of ministry in your life - DO NOT add your name or your churches name to this essay. If your name or churches name is added to this essay, we are unable to send it to the committee for review.
Three ladies have been appointed to the Scholarship Review Committee for the CGMA LACE Scholarship through the voting body of CGMA Ladies Ministry.
The LACE Ministry leaders will review that all documents have been submitted prior to sending to the Review Committee. If all items are not submitted by July 1st, the applicants essay will be disqualified for review.
Scholarship Review Committee will review applicant information in a confidential manner from July 1-16th and select two awardees. The awardees will be announced at the National Ladies Business Meeting and the award will be mailed the following week in a check written directly to the awardee. The awardee can use these funds to help support book/school supply costs, food, travel to and from school, and/or tuition costs.
**Individuals can only be awarded this scholarship one time per college degree.
Sis. Leah Winner is the current President of the National CGMA Ladies Ministry (also known as LACE Ministries). Sis. Leah is the first lady of Abundant Life Church of New Castle, Indiana where her husband, Rev. Michael Winner serves as Senior Pastor
Sis. Angie Walden is the current Vice President of LACE Ministries. Sis. Angie is the first lady of Aspinwall Church of Cleveland, Ohio where her husband, Rev. Jon Walden, serves as the Senior Pastor.
Sis. Christa Halcomb is the current Secretary and Treasurer for the LACE Ministries. Sis. Christa serves at the Middlesboro CGMA in Middlesboro, KY.
Dear CGMA Ladies,
I am honored and grateful for the opportunity to serve you as the newly elected ladies president. It is with great excitement and a heart full of gratitude that I step into this role, ready to work alongside each of you as we grow and serve together in the Kingdom of God. I am looking forward to working with Sis. Angie Walden and Sis. Christa Halcomb as we prayerfully start this endeavor together. I would like to take a moment to acknowledge and express my appreciate to former President, Sis. Nicole Walden, former Vice President, Sis. Tiffanie Rowe, and former Secretary/Treasurer, Sis. Jessalynn Cornett. Their dedication, hard work, and unwavering faith have laid a strong foundation for LACE Ladies Ministry. Their guidance and love have been an inspiration for all of us.
Our theme for hte year is "Radiant," inspired by Psalm 34:5- "Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame."This beautiful verse reminds us that as we seek the Lord, our lives reflect His glory and light. My vision for our ladies this year is to embrace the radiance of God, allowing his light to shine through us in everything we do.
Throughout this year, we will focus on growth, both individually and collectively. We will support one another, uplift each other in prayer, and work together to fulfill our prupose. Let us be a source of encouragement and strength to each other, always looking to God as our guide and inspiration.
I look forward to the many wonderful opportunities we will ahve to connect, learn, and serve. May this year be one of incredible blessings, as we shine brightly for his kingdom.
